Membership Guidelines
Interested persons who wish to become a member of the association are those that are involved in response to Hazardous Material / CBRNE Incidents.
Most members are Emergency First Responders, working at some time in their career for EMS, Fire or Police.
They also may be a Designated Officer (as required by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care), a Spill Response Contractor, an Industry In-House Response team, a Hazmat Response Training Institute, and other related fields.
You must also share a common interest in the intent of the OHMRA’s mission statement
Membership Types:
Voting Members:
Voting members include first responders, front line responders to hazmat & CBRNE incidents & designated officers. Voting members are part of the association as an individual, and not as representation of an organization.
Non-Voting Members:
Non-voting members include hazmat & CBRNE related industry representatives, spill contractors, and industry-in-house responders.
Honorary Members & Trial Memberships are provided at the discretion of the executive.
Neither have voting rights.

Note: Only difference between membership types is the ability to vote on association matters (Voting members only). All other benefits are inclusive of all membership types.
Membership Fees:
2023-2024 Annual membership Cost is $30.00 per year.
Your membership will automatically renew each year.
If a member wishes not to renew, email info@ohmra.ca so renewal can be cancelled.

Step 2: Click the payment link below for the type of membership you are registering for, and complete payment.
Once both registration form & payment have been received, you will receive a welcome email confirming your membership.
Please be aware that each registration is subject to review by the OHMRA Executive and can be denied with an Explanation and full refund.

About us:
The Ontario Hazardous Materials Responders Association (OHMRA) was incorporated as a Not-for-Profit organization in September of 2018.
The association is run by a volunteer executive board.
Our Mission Statement:
“To develop and promote hazardous materials responder’s professional competencies and industry best practices, for all emergency services, through education, cooperation, communication and collaboration.”
If you feel you meet the above requirements for membership, please register using the New Member Registration button below .
Once completed, you will receive an email asking for confirmation. Access to this OHMRA account only allows you to review your personal and payment details.
Please be aware that each application is subject to review by the OHMRA Executive and can be denied with an Explanation and full refund.
If your application is successfully processed and within 5 business days, an email will be sent to you, with an additional temporary password, to access the member side of the website.
Upon receipt of a written request from a current member, a full copy of OHMRA’s Constitution and Bylaws will be sent electronically.
